Shopping in Kerrville

Kerrville has charming gift shops, one of a kind boutiques, fun antique, resale and thrift shops, as well as a small mall, scattered throughout town and the surrounding area to satisfy the shopper in everyone.

The charming and resurgent Downtown district features a great blend of shopping, history, dining, and more. From panoramic views of the Guadalupe River at Louise Hays Park to specialty shopping, arts, and events. Downtown Kerrville is a great destination for a day, an evening, or a weekend.

A “must-see” destination for Hill Country visitorsthe James Avery Visitor Center and Store in Kerrville is located on their scenic 40-acre corporate campus. Explore the beautiful store, learn about the company’s history, and see artwork and designs commissioned in years past, such as the papal communion vessels and pieces of jewelry taken to the moon by astronauts. Do all this and then relax on the overlook deck outside the store and enjoy the view.

We highly recommend experiencing Gibson’s Discount Center. It’s been around since the mid-1960s and it's one of the last of its kind. An old-fashioned general store with old fashion values, Gibson’s has earned a reputation—just ask anyone and they’ll say, “Gibson’s has that.” Besides having just everything, their incredible Sporting Goods department has a great selection of hunting and fishing gear, camping supplies, and firearms.
